The Apprentice Training Program is offered two to four times each year depending on the space available at both salons. The Apprentice Training Programs begin annually in January + July (there may be additional start dates added in March + October).
Interviews begin approximately three months before the start of each program.

All new Team Members are required to attend the Apprentice Training Program at Virtue regardless of level of experience. The systems included in the Apprentice Training Program at Virtue set all professionals up for success and supports the Team dynamic within the salon.

The Apprentice Training Program or “ATP” is a six-month, six-module program
designed to give exceptional training to the hairdressers at Virtue. Most Apprenticeship Training Programs have 2-4 Apprentices in each program.
All modules are led by different Specialists from the Virtue Team. Apprentices are expected to be at all scheduled training dates for their respective program. No time off is permitted on the scheduled training dates. Apprentices are expected to provide their own models. Dates are set from the kick off of each program and all Apprentices are educated on the schedule and model needs from the very beginning of entering the program.

All Apprentices must be available for full time work upon hire. Apprentices will work at least three days each week. These days will be committed to either class time in the Modules of the Apprentice Training Program or scheduled hours behind the chair. Apprentices are not eligible for part time work at Virtue Vegan Salon.
Apprentice Training Program Module Schedule:
Module Classes take place one or two weeks each month for the six-month training period:
Tuesday, Wednesday + Thursday 8:45am-6pm
During modules, behind the chair hours shift to allow time for the training schedule.
Behind The Chair Shifts
Work hours will include some of the following shifts behind the chair:
Monday-Thursday 9:45am-8pm
Friday-Saturday 9:45am-6pm
*Mandatory Saturdays until Apprentices finish the program and hit a required utilization goal. Saturdays are a very busy day and working this day helps professionals to build a great clientele.
Quarterly Team Meeting
One mandatory meeting per quarter (First Friday of February, May, August, November) 8am-12pm at the Brewery District

During the Apprenticeship Training Program, we ask that all Apprentices attend every scheduled training date planned for that respective program.
Outside of the training program, Team Members have access to unlimited time off. Hairdressers who have graduated from the ATP are able to pick up additional days to offset time off if desired.

The interview process for the ATP is a multistep process. The interview process does not begin with a candidate until proper documentation has been submitted per request of the salon (application etc).

Virtue Vegan Salon has two awesome locations. One location in Clintonville and one in the Brewery District. Applicants are not able to choose the location they will work at during the interview process. While applicants can mention their desired location, there is no guarantee that a space is available at that location. The management team at Virtue makes all placement decisions.

Virtue Hairdressers are commissioned-based ranging from 40%-50% on services and 10% of retail . We offer flexible part-time and full-time schedules and adjustable booking, so that we are able take our time with each guest to provide top notch service and results.
Based on a 35 hour work week, Virtue Hairdressers have the potential to make*;

The Service Desk is one of the most amazing parts of working at Virtue. The Salon Coordinators run the Service Desks at both locations and they take care of:
Scheduling all appointments
Phone calls
Salon policies
