When she was 24, Melanie looked everywhere for the perfect salon home, but couldn’t find one that felt like it really fit. She was inspired to open her own and now she has created something truly magical at Virtue Salon. She has also educated hundreds of hairdressers in the industry through Level Head Collective, our education team. Melanie is creative, detail-oriented, and one of the most fun people on our team.

With fifteen years of experience in the industry, Kendra has plenty of wisdom to share. She is a thoughtful problem-solver and helps to coach and inspire the team. Her favorite thing about Virtue is the emphasis on genuine inclusion for every person that enters the space--guests and team members alike. When she's not at Virtue, Kendra is probably outdoors! She loves hiking, biking, playing catch with her son, Finn, and sitting in her hammock.

A jack of all trades, TJ left his construction career in 2013 to support the growing family business. He is the glue that keeps Virtue Salon together. Whether he’s coaching our Guest Coordinators, tracking the budget, or mending vintage furniture, his gift of thoughtful problem solving is a business life saver.

Kendall is a service industry veteran who loves the uniquely supportive and inclusive environment at Virtue. She has a keen eye for interior design and antiques. Outside of work, she likes to spend time at local gems like Cup O' Joe and curates vintage goods for her booth across the street at Eclectiques Antique Mall. She loves to thrift, express herself through baking and photography, and spend time with her family & cats.

Salon Coordinator

After visiting Virtue for years as a guest, Kale joined the team excited to play a part in facilitating others' journeys with authentic self-expression. Kale strives to create a safe & welcoming environment for guests to experiment with their hair. When not behind the desk, Kale enjoys spending time with Nosferatu (a bearded dragon!) and practicing many hobbies, including tap dancing, crocheting, and birdwatching.

Gracie's favorite part of working at Virtue is getting to immerse herself in the community of our guests and hairdressers. She's a super organized problem-solver and stays very busy at the salon and beyond. She runs a non-profit cat rescue and loves going to the movies and supporting live music.

Libby has been a valued part of the Virtue community since she started visiting as a guest in 2013. Now as a salon coordinator, guests & team members get to enjoy her bubbly personality & attention to detail. Libby loves to laugh, solve a problem, and get to know the people that spend time in the salon. After hours, Libby loves to hang out with her cat, read, and chef it up at home.

Emma joined the Virtue team after coming in for a hairservice and loving her experience so much she sent in her application! She instantly fell in love with Virtue’s welcoming energy and says it feels like home. Emma is a creative at heart who loves art, gardening, reading, and spending time outdoors. In her free time, you’ll find her creating suncatchers, paintings, bracelets, and other little pretties, hanging out with her boyfriend and their cats, or spending time with her family.

Devyn is a Worthington native and has been a Virtue guest for years. She was drawn to Virtue because of its celebration of individuality and the welcoming, safe environment where everyone can be their true selves. Outside of Virtue, Devyn loves painting, cooking, collecting vintage fashion and home decor, and working out. When she’s not creating or collecting, you can find her enjoying a meal at Comune in German Village or listening to Stevie Nicks, The Cure, KMFDM, Tool, Helmet, or The Smashing Pumpkins.

Elizabeth has been at Virtue for three years and loves blending the science and art of hair to help guests express their authentic selves. Outside the salon, you can find her thrifting for VHS tapes, drawing, riding her bike, catching live shows, or hanging out with her pets.
