    Behind The Chair Since: 2003

    When she was 24, Melanie looked everywhere for the perfect salon home, but couldn’t find one that felt like it really fit. She was inspired to open her own and now she has created something truly magical at Virtue Salon. She has also educated hundreds of hairdressers in the industry through Level Head Collective, our education team. Melanie is creative, detail-oriented, and one of the most fun people on our team.

    Kendra

    She/Her

    General Manager

    Behind The Chair Since: 2007

    With fifteen years of experience in the industry, Kendra has plenty of wisdom to share. She is a thoughtful problem-solver and helps to coach and inspire the team. Her favorite thing about Virtue is the emphasis on genuine inclusion for every person that enters the space--guests and team members alike. When she's not at Virtue, Kendra is probably outdoors! She loves hiking, biking, playing catch with her son, Finn, and sitting in her hammock.

    Beth

    Operations Manager

    Beth joined the team in 2018 as a salon coordinator, where she resonated with the teamwork aspect of the culture. Beth continually finds purpose in the mix of old-fashioned hospitality and vegan, eco-conscious values of the salon. She now leads the service desk team where she enjoys getting to connect with all of the team members across locations and cheer on their growth. Her hobbies include cooking vegan comfort food, spending time with her cat, and trying new fitness ventures.

    Finance Manager

    A jack of all trades, TJ left his construction career in 2013 to support the growing family business. He is the glue that keeps Virtue Salon together. Whether he’s coaching our Guest Coordinators, tracking the budget, or mending vintage furniture, his gift of thoughtful problem solving is a business life saver.

    Jasmine

    Salon Director - Brewery District

    Jasmine is a vibrant, outgoing member of the team at Virtue--she loves to meet new people! Her people skills and communication superpowers allow her to perform a killer consultation and really understand her guests' hair goals. She is an expert at styling natural & curly hair textures, short haircuts, lived-in color looks, and bright pops of color.

    Skyler

    She/Her

    Salon Director - Clintonville

    Skyler joined the team at Virtue in 2019 and never looked back. She loves chatting with & getting to know her guests and her coworkers. Skyler loves all kinds of haircutting, but she really loves when her guests ask her to give them a killer shag haircut. Her other hair passions include working with wavy hair and applying a classic all-over or retouch color. When you're in her chair, ask her about her most recent read or what upcoming trips & concerts she's looking forward to next.

    Salon Coordinator

    Having a Cosmetology license herself, Jenny knows all of the ins and outs of the hair industry. Her knowledge, combined with her killer organizational skills give her pride in her skills to maintain a pristine schedule. She shares our passion for connecting with the community and giving back to it in any way we can.

    With a naturally warm, helpful, and team-oriented disposition, Julie assists our guests and team members from the service desk. Her favorite part of being at Virtue is the happy and home-like atmosphere at the salon. On her own time, Julie enjoys spending time with her family and friends or going camping when the weather allows.

    Kendall is a service industry veteran who loves the uniquely supportive and inclusive environment at Virtue. She has a keen eye for interior design and antiques. Outside of work, she likes to spend time at local gems like Cup O' Joe and curates vintage goods for her booth across the street at Eclectiques Antique Mall. She loves to thrift, express herself through baking and photography, and spend time with her family & cats.

    Kale

    Salon Coordinator

    After visiting Virtue for years as a guest, Kale joined the team excited to play a part in facilitating others' journeys with authentic self-expression. Kale strives to create a safe & welcoming environment for guests to experiment with their hair. When not behind the desk, Kale enjoys spending time with Nosferatu (a bearded dragon!) and practicing many hobbies, including tap dancing, crocheting, and birdwatching.

    Jessica

    Salon Coordinator

    As a former esthetician of 8 years, Jessica brings a passion for cosmetology and knack for hospitality to the service desk team. She loves chatting with visitors and gets extra excited to answer questions and provide recommendations at the product shelf. Outside of the salon, Jessica immerses herself in community by spending time with friends & family. She's also a pop culture enthusiast and loves keeping up with music, fashion, and celebrity news.

    As a self-proclaimed fixer of situations and vibes, Alli's artistic spirit and vegan values made her an excellent fit for her role at the service desk. Armed with a killer sense of humor (and her glasses!), she loves getting to play a part in day-to-day operations at Virtue Salon. She spends her time outside the salon on her many hobbies, her art, and cracking jokes + spending time with her partner & pets.
