Five years ago, when I began the adventure of opening Virtue Salon, I never imagined that we would grow to a team of 16.
It’s a daily joy to work with people who are so talented, motivated, forward-thinking and team-oriented. In December 2014 alone, the Virtue Team performed over 900 services, and for 2015 we’ve already scheduled over 20 weddings.
The growth we’ve experienced has been so natural and organic, that when we looked up, we realized our chairs were filled, our schedules were full, and we were running out of space. If you have visited Virtue Salon recently, you have likely noticed that we’re in close quarters—we are literally working over top of each other at times!
With this in mind, we began a loose search for a larger location. The perfect place fell right into our lap, literally right across the street.
I am proud to announce that Virtue Salon found a new home. Expanding into a larger, permanent space in Clintonville, Virtue Salon will move to the space formerly occupied by SoBo Style by June 2015.
We are so, so appreciative of the support we’ve received. We are excited, ready and of course, planning like crazy.
Because we wouldn’t be here without our guests, our friends and our community, we want to keep you updated during this meaningful transition.
Here’s the Plan:
1. Though an exact date isn’t set, we will be moved into the new location by June 1st.
2. The plan is to finish all moving on off days, which means we plan to stay open normal hours. All prescheduled appointments will be kept!
3. During the move, we plan to keep everyone completely updated on the progress and the final move date.
I know… how has this happened?!
Again, with the support from our community, family and friends every step of the way! The enthusiasm from the people around us has made Virtue Salon what it is.
What will the new space provide?
Virtue will remain the same in most ways, just a better, more operable version of it. We will have more options for seating, more room for the most up-to-date equipment, and a more open environment to host our guests. Wedding parties and groups will have more space to relax and enjoy their special day.
The new space will also have more efficient lighting and better equipment to maintain our mission for sustainability and exceptional service.
Since we now own our building, more advances can be made to be environmentally friendly. There is no timeline, but we plan to invest in solar panels and a green roof in the future; stay tuned!
Additionally, by owning our own building, we are investing in Clintonville in a way we never could before. Being an integral part of the community is important to us and our vision, and we hope it shows our commitment to our neighborhood.
We are so proud to be part of Clintonville and serve our guests. Thank you everyone for your support and dedication. We appreciate you!
