All of this cold weather takes a toll on all parts of our body. Whether it be our runny nose, scratchy throat, or our freezing toes. It also does some work on our skin, especially our hands and nails due to washing them 1,562 times a day to keep the neighbor’s cold away. A fabulous at-home manicure will help keep your hands and nails look and feel beautiful. Plus, take a look at what some of the hottest nail colors are for spring.
Things you will need:
bowl of warm water with gentle soap
You want to start out with completely clean nails, no polish.
Grab your nail filer and start your way into getting your nails to the desired shape.
Now let’s get to that hand bath, take your dish with warm, soapy water and soak your nails for at least five minutes.
Rinse off any excess soap from your bath.
Now we are going to use coconut oil as our cuticle cream. Dab a small amount on top of each nail and using your cuticle pusher, push back at the base of your nail bed.
Finish off the manicure with your favorite moisturizer.
Your nails are now ready to be painted or you can even slap on a shiny top coat and rock them all natural.
As far as these new nail colors of 2015 goes, the Team at Virtue have some guesses. Melanie sees this spring’s color trend is going back to the 90’s. Full of metallics, golds, and gun metal silvers. Now Claire and Jess G. are going the opposite direction. They see the trends going more nude and lighter colors, even matte. Amy is envisioning a nice, bright coral. What color will you choose?
